Easy enough for everyone to follow

What I liked the most from the book is that the Mr. Stanley left out the technical "stuff" and explained his program in an easy to understand format. I downloaded the book today and decided to give it a try. Went to the grocery store and got the suggested items...very easy on the budget too! I started the diet tonight and think this is one that I can stick with. No calories to count and very simple. I plan to give this book another review once I've tried it out. I give it five stars because I'm very happy that I downloaded the book and feel like the few bucks were well spent.

....and over a year later, it's still a pretty good book. I have lost quite a bit of weight -- not sure it's because of the book -- I've gone low carb and that's made all the difference, but the book did spur me on to try harder.

Motivating Personal Story With Generally Good Principles

The "Ditto" Diet tells the story of what one man did to improve his health, and distills it into four replicable principles or "components." It was fun, motivating, and encouraging to read; most importantly, though, it is filled with (generally) good information. I say "generally" good because he does drink diet sodas, and I think we can all (hopefully) agree that diet sodas do NOT pave the way to optimum health. That being said, I think this is still a valuable read for many people since the four principles in the book do add up, to my knowledge, to solid, healthful advice. The information presented isn't necessarily new, but it is presented in a way that is understandable and highly doable; plus, one major benefit of this system is how easily one can tweak the details to fit one's own life and personal needs and fitness goals. If you're wanting to improve your health, but don't know where to start and/or find most diets to be overly complicated and/or regimented, I would encourage you to read The "Ditto" Diet and, with your physician's blessing, of course, give it a try for 90 days.

As a side note, there are, unfortunately, several grammatical errors in this text, which is why I didn't give it five stars; on the plus side, it has a highly conversational tone, and the author is so genuine, sincere, and likeable, that the errors weren't as distracting as they are in other books. I highly recommend it!

Thanks for the Magical Adventure with Anja

Even though it's a gorgeous October day and we just jumped in a big pile of leaves, I'll confess, I'm getting excited for Christmas and a beautiful snowfall after reading The Reindeer Wish by Lori Evert. Anja (the sweet little imaginative girl from The Christmas Wish and The Tiny Wish) takes us on another magical adventure in the woods far far away where she discovers a lost baby reindeer. My favorite part of the book was when the reindeer went to school. The pictures of Anja (taken by her father Per Breiehagen, Lori's husband) are amazing! It's so easy to imagine being one with nature while reading this book. Last Christmas we were introduced to Anja and her wilderness friends. We're so excited to continue this journey with her as she helps prepare one of Santa's reindeer.

I buy a Christmas book each year for my grands. Last year it was the first book the wish. My heritage is from the Nordic countries so it is great to great to the little one's on Christmas eve. It always gives the children something to think about after and keeps that special feeling of magic in there heart.

This is not the cover of the book I received

One of the greatest novels of all time. I bought it for a special lady friend, who is from France, so I got her the French language edition. I chose this seller and this edition based almost entirely on the cover shown in the picture. The book I got looks nothing like the picture shown here. My copy was printed by something called [...]. It looks like they just copied and pasted the text from somewhere and slapped a cover on it. This is the most misleading product listing I've experienced on Amazon.

Wonderful book!

This is one of the very very best books I have ever read. It takes a little time to get into his way of writing, but it is worth the trouble. He takes his time, as his characters run repeatedly over almost the same mental tracks, over and over, as they obsess about the women they love. Put like that, it sounds boring and repetitive, but not a bit. He works endless variety into it, and one of the most striking features (and strikingly true-to-life) is the way in which essentially the same line of thought can lead on successive days, or even successive hours, to contradictory conclusions. Besides, a great many passages are just plain beautiful.

These Are Nice, but Quirky!

Do you enjoy zombie fiction? Are you a fan of Max Brooks? Are you a bit quirky? If so, these little journals are fun and eye-catching. I'm a professional writer of non-fiction, and I use these to jot down my thoughts when I'm buying groceries or in line at the bank. I get questions like "Where did you get that?" and "Can I see that a minute?" Every journal has several pages of zombie survival woven in and then you can pull it out when you need to write a quick reminder to yourself. My only criticism is that the journals are smaller than I'd hoped; but then, you can't have standard-sized journals clogging up your backpack when you're on the run from the undead, now can you! Try these - they're fun.

Thus begins a female led relationship with the dominant Barbara who disciplines him with a variety of spanking implements including hairbrush, paddle, cane and tawse, whenever he steps out of line or doesn't meet her expectations. And it's not only Henry that participates in such a relationship as several of his friends later find themselves being subjected to rigorous discipline from their dominant girlfriends, who are often encouraged by Barbara.

Later, when Henry is introduced to Barbara's parents it becomes all too clear where Barbara gets her dominant tendencies from as her mother, Caroline, is very much in charge of the household, as Henry discovers when he spies her disciplining her own husband in the study.

Having spent some months together, the couple announce their engagement - it looks like sitting comfortably may be a thing of the past for Henry!

Training Henry would be a good description of this book

If you like stories of bare bottom spankings then this book is for you. Along with spanking it has paddling and caning .It has a young man named Henry meeting a beautiful woman Barbara who changes his life dramatically. The story then starts to include other men who don't know how to behave and Barbara teaches there girlfriend's how to change them. The book has many twists in it some I expected due to reading the synopsis others I was surprised by others .If I could rate this book higher I would .It is a real good read.

Really a Spanking Book

The book is certainly not what I was hoping to read. I love the freedom books but this book begged the question, "How many ass whippings are enough?" The book became tiresome, even when her mother brought her implements to bear as mom beat dad.I think the audience for this book was a fetish group, a really small group. Most of us didn't mind the whipping since we all know how conniving and unfaithful they can be but Barbara had a good guy so I didn't understand why she was so tough on him.
My opinion, too much spanking.

The author does a good job of developing the characters

Well-written story. The author does a good job of developing the characters, both the two main characters, and the side characters which really helped make the book an enjoyable read. Many well-described spanking scenes and right level of related sex scenes. Would be interested in a sequel.

Well organized and full of information

Current and well written with loads of personal experience blended with current research. The layout is easy to read and find what you are looking for. Plenty of resources within the book as well. I would recommend this to anyone who was considering a backpacking trip, regardless of destination. I was able to read this thanks to the people behind Story Cartel (in exchange for an honest review). I will be purchasing a copy should I decide to take my own backpacking trip.

Well Written Guide - Easy to Read and Full of Great Information

Marek has written a very detailed, comprehensive guide to backpacking across the world. It is a very comprehensive guide, yet it also reads like a story.

This is because his writing style is very personable and he skillfully weaves stories of his own experiences throughout each chapter.

This guide is very thorough, covering most every aspect you can think of (and some things you probably didn't think of) that is involved with travelling across the world with just a backpack.

Marek starts with planning your trip, discusses packing light, health and safety on your trip as well as culture and etiquette. If you are willing to learn as much as you can about the culture of each country you visit, it will make a huge difference to the your stay there. You will much more likely to be accepted by the locals when you have taken the time to learn about their culture, and that of course will also make your stay more enjoyable.

I was offered a copy of this book in return for an honest review and I found it to be an excellent guide that will definitely get you started preparing for your trip. There is also plenty of information to guide you during your journey. You will definitely want to take a copy with you. The only thing that stops me giving a 5th star is that I haven't been on a trip since I read this book. When I next travel, I'm sure its helpful advice will pay off!
Marek Bron has written the travel guide he'd like to have had before setting off on his own backpacking adventures. It's written in a friendly, conversational style, so you will feel as if he's sitting down with you to mull over your travel dreams and turn them into real plans.
The author inspires with ideas of places to travel, how to make travel a priority and fund it, safety concerns, how to get more out of your trip no matter who you're traveling with or on your own, how to pack light...Hardly a page of this book does not have something useful that will help you get started on your next adventure.
